do you ever have one of those days where you feel like you’ve spent way too much time on your makeup and caked it on due to poor self esteem and even poorer bathroom lighting? i know i have.
powder products can be your complexion’s worst enemy. especially during the dead of winter when the air isn’t exactly your vitamin e infused friend. i find the key to avoiding the caked on look is using cream products.
the one i constantly go back to is mac ladyblush. the color is au natural, and provides that supple dewy glow we all strive for. you can apply it with fingers, a foundation brush or any type of brush really! i use a duo fibre brush. it picks up less product.
it also gives that ‘oh! i just got in from snowmobiling because i’m NOT the indoorsy type’ type flush. and who doesn’t want that? honestly, now.
any cream product shall do, this one just do’s for me!

laura mercier invisible loose setting powder! a luxurious fairydust that will make your foundation and concealer last ALL DAY, without sinking into fine lines i might add!
i apply with a fan brush.
i’m not going to pretend it’s the tidiest product on the markey… but, it does such a grand job its worth the hassle! kinda like a great head massage (and by that i mean nothing like a head massage).
for around $40.00 you can have this top of the line product. the bentley of loose powders if you will.

i’ve got a little problem. any mascara i buy ends up crumbled all over my face by lunch. and no mascara i’ve tried holds up the curl shu uemura puts so much effort into every morning.
until now.
l’oreal voluminous mascara, the original.
for under 10 dollars you get your lengthening, seperation and curl ALL DAY. it’s a miracle, and it’s the cheapest thing in my makeup collection. so the drugstore IS for more than tylenol!

after watching bobbi brown’s neons and nudes collection video on youtube (click the pic), i naturally had to go visit it!
along with a stunning palette of gorgeous wearable every day nude shadows, THE ACCOMPANYING GLOSS… where do i begin.
no, it does not show up neon. it does give a hint of color while being the creamiest non-sticky amazing thing that has ever touched my lips (sorry, nick). for a no-kidding-around $27.00 you can make out with yourself… all day long. and you’ll want to.
